April Fools’ and the ocean gave me some jokes! Okay, not that it was something unexpected – from where I am now, I can’t make it straight to the west. At the beginning of May the equatorial countercurrent will strengthen in the northern hemisphere, but until then it’s the southern hemisphere. To get to Africa, I need to row across it to south, then in the 2nd part of April it should be possible to move towards Africa!
Today I met 2 Seychelles fishing ships. Had a pretty nice talk with one of them 🙂 They wished me good luck and the whole crew (about 20 people) waved at me friendly 🙃
1.aprīlī okeāns nolēma pajokot! Ok, nu, labi, tas ir likumsakarīgi, ka no manas pašreizējās vietas uz rietumiem taisnā līnijā netieku. Maijā ekvatoriāla pretstraume nostiprināsies ziemeļu puslodē, bet pagaidām tā ir dienvidu puslodē. Lai tiktu uz Āfriku man jāairē tai pāri uz dienvidiem, tad aprīļa 2.pusē vajadzētu varēt jau kustēt Āfrikas virzienā!Šodien satiku 2 Seišelu salu zvejas kuģus. Ar 1 no tiem pat sakarīgi parunājām pa rāciju 🙂 Novēlēja man labu ceļu un visa apkalpe (ap 20 cilvēkiem) draudzīgi māja 🙃
