Here We Go Again
Lulled by the tune of the ukulele and warmed by friends’ sincerity, I raise the anchor. It is a mere coincidence that the man who welcomed me here with a hadn’t been seen for 2 months, but now he vibrates my deeper strings again. A wonderful start.
The first day of rowing was a success. Immediately after the start, there was a massive side-wind that I had to struggle with, to get around the island’s SW horn. Then, shifting and deceptive streams between the islands of Hiva Oa and Tahuata tried to confuse me. But now the faithful Orion is protecting me again. Off to “bed”! =)
